FAQ

  • How early in advance do I need to book?

We’ll always address your inquiries- reach out if you have something come up last minute!

However, generally speaking, if you have the opportunity to plan ahead:

For catering, your best bet is 30+ days in advance for our busiest months (Sep-Dec & Apr-Jun) and 14+ days in advance for the less busy months (Jan-Mar & Jul-Aug).

For smaller events, boxed lunches, and personal chef pickup orders, 7+ days notice is helpful.

For private classes, it’s best to think 30+ days ahead when you have a specific date or occasion in mind.

  • Cooking Classes are booked up! What do I do?

We post new classes every few months. The best way to stay up to date is by joining our mailing list (at bottom of page). You will get our once-per-week email with announcements about when new class schedules are in the works.

If you see a class that you like, but it’s already booked, please fill out our waitlist (here's the link). We will let you know when we have an opening- cancellations do happen!

  • I have a Gift Certificate, but the classes are full!

We know that it’s difficult to get classes! For that reason, we do not have an expiration for our cooking class gift certificates. If you’re really having trouble getting into a class, first sign up for the waitlist. Then let us know and we can present options, put you on a priority list for future classes, or even apply your gift certificate amount to another service.

  • Is there a service charge or gratuity?

At Reto’s Kitchen, we do not include a service charge or automatic gratuity. If you feel that your chefs, servers, or bartenders have exceeded your expectations, or done something special to make your experience amazing, we will equally distribute any gratuity to the staff of your event.
